Privacy Notice

At EMAS Global we care about the security of your personal data. This notice is provided under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) to inform you about the personal data processed when you visit emasglobal.com.tr, fill in the contact and quote form, or contact us by phone or email.

1. Data controller

Your personal data is processed as described below by EMAS Global Lojistik Ticaret Limited Şirketi (“EMAS Global”) as data controller (Tax Office: Büyükçekmece, Tax No: 361 002 2047, Address: Yeşilbayır Mahallesi, Elazığ Caddesi No: 13, Hadımköy, Arnavutköy / Istanbul, Türkiye).

2. Personal data processed

  • Identity: Name and surname.
  • Contact details: Email address, phone number, company name.
  • Request details: The subject, message and information about your storage needs that you send via the form or email.
  • Transaction security data: IP address, browser and device information, site visit logs.
  • Marketing and analytics data: Site usage data collected through cookies (only with your consent).

3. Purposes of processing

  • Receiving and evaluating your quote and information requests and replying to you,
  • Carrying out contract processes for storage, bonded warehousing and logistics services,
  • Carrying out communication activities,
  • Maintaining information security and the security of the website,
  • Measuring and improving website performance,
  • Meeting legal obligations and responding to requests from competent authorities.

4. Collection method and legal grounds

Your personal data is collected electronically, partly by automated means, through the contact and quote form on our website, email, phone and cookies.

Under Article 5/2 of the KVKK, this data is processed on the legal grounds that:

  • It is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract (your quote requests),
  • It is necessary for the data controller to fulfil a legal obligation,
  • It is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (communication and information security),

Non-essential analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your explicit consent under Article 5/1 of the KVKK.

5. Transfer of personal data

Limited to the purposes above, your personal data may be transferred to:

  • Suppliers providing our website hosting, email and IT services,
  • Legally authorised public institutions (including customs authorities) and courts,

in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK. Because analytics services (e.g. Google Analytics) are provided by providers with servers abroad, data collected through cookies is transferred abroad only with your explicit consent.

6. Retention period

Your personal data is kept for as long as the purpose of processing requires and for the retention periods set by law. When these periods end, it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is processed,
  • Request information if it has been processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly,
  • Know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred,
  • Request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
  • Request deletion or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 of the KVKK,
  • Request that corrections, deletions or destruction be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred,
  • Object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis of the processed data,
  • Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

8. How to apply

You can send requests about your rights, with information identifying you and in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller:

  • In writing, with a wet-signed petition delivered in person or through a notary to Yeşilbayır Mahallesi, Elazığ Caddesi No: 13, Hadımköy, Arnavutköy / Istanbul, Türkiye,
  • By email from the address registered in our system to info@emasglobal.com.tr

We will respond free of charge within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. If the process involves an additional cost, the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board may apply.
